Storage and Reheating

Store the assembled bowls in airtight meal prep containers in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.

Reheat in the microwave before serving.

Add avocado fresh or after reheating when possible.

Do not freeze the assembled bowls. Cooked turkey and sweet potatoes can be frozen separately, but the assembled bowls are not recommended for freezing because ingredients like eggs and avocado do not freeze well.

Notes

  • Spread the sweet potatoes and vegetables in a single layer so they roast better.
  • Roast the vegetables until browned and crispy before assembling the bowls.
  • The exact amount of turkey sausage is not specified, so portion it according to your prepared batch.
  • Cook the turkey sausage until no longer pink and drain excess fat.
  • Cook the eggs gently so they stay softly scrambled.
  • Optional garnishes and additions should stay optional and not replace the core bowl.
